How does it work?
In Fantasy Pro Picks you pick a fresh team every week: one player from each fixture, head-to-head against a rival from your league, and the two of you can never field the same players. Unlike classic Fantasy Premier League (FPL), there's no budget, no season-long squad and no planning six weeks ahead. Different enough that plenty of managers play both.
Do I have to create my own league? How big can it be?
Either works: create your own and invite your friends, or join one with a code. A league can hold up to 20 managers. If you end up with an odd number, Botinho (our bot) joins to make up the numbers, and he plays to win.
Can I create my league and play if the season has already started?
Yes. You're only ever playing this week's matchup, so there's nothing to catch up on. Your week one is whichever week you join.
Can I join a league that's already started?
Not once it's locked. Leagues lock 24 hours before their opening gameweek kicks off, the matchups are drawn, and nobody else can get in, even with spaces left. Missed it? Start a fresh league: the admin picks which gameweek it kicks off from.

How do picks work?
Each week you're drawn against a different manager from your league, and you pick one player from every fixture. No player can appear on both teams, so home advantage matters, and you alternate week to week: at home, pick anyone you like. Away, you select a backup for each fixture in case your first choice is taken.
What is the deadline to make each pick?
Kick-off, fixture by fixture. There's no single gameweek deadline: each pick locks when its own game starts, so Sunday's picks stay open even after Saturday's have kicked off.
What if I forget to make a pick?
The app makes the pick for you, so you'll never field an empty slot. But an auto-pick can't read the team news or back a hunch, and deadlines roll fixture by fixture, so every game that hasn't kicked off yet is still yours to take over.
What if my player doesn't play?
That pick scores zero. You can pick and change right up until kick-off, so check the team news before you lock in.
What happens in blank gameweeks?
You pick from whatever fixtures are on. Fewer games, same head-to-head, and no chip strategy or wildcard maths needed to get through it.
How long do I have to spend on it each week? Do I need to plan ahead?
You could pick in a couple of minutes. Scan the fixtures, pick a player from each, done. And no, winning doesn't take a five-week plan, only good calls this week. You can of course agonise over every pick until kick-off, if that's your thing.
How does the scoring work?
Points for the whole performance: tackles, interceptions, key passes, duels won, saves and more, not just goals, assists and clean sheets. A centre-back who wins everything can outscore a forward who goes missing.
Do points update live?
Yes. Points land as the action happens, so you can watch your matchup swing in real time, and you'll know the result at the final whistle.
What if my matchup ends in a draw?
A point apiece, just like the real thing. Three for a win, one for a draw: your league table works exactly like the one you already know.
Will I fall behind if I miss a week?
At worst, you lose that matchup and nothing more. The next week brings a new opponent and a fresh set of picks, so a bad run never ends your season. Every week is worth the same three points, so a bad week costs you one result, and one win gets it straight back.
Can I win money?
No, you play for the league title and the right to be insufferable in the group chat.
